The Butterfly Orchid (Phalaenopsis hyb.) is a tropical plant native to Asia. In nature, it grows by latching itself onto trees. It is the easiest species to grow indoors here.

It produces large and thick green leaves. Its flowers grow into groups onto the stems and can bloom up to 6 months! Easy to care for, it is the ideal colorful addition to any luminous room.

MAINTENANCE

The Butterfly Orchid requires good ambient light. It will even appreciate direct sun but only during winter months. Give it a bath once a week.

Tip: fill a container with lukewarm water. Immerse the plant up to the bottom leaves. You will notice that it releases bubbles: it is breathing. When the bubbles disappear, place it on a piece of cloth to drain. Once it has done so, simply put it back in its usual spot.
