Lantana is a highly floriferous tropical plant prized for its beautiful clusters of small, brightly colored flowers. Depending on the variety, blooms may feature shades of yellow, orange, red, pink, white, or purple, with some varieties even changing color as the flowers mature. Highly decorative, Lantana is especially well suited to bright locations, patios, and seasonal outdoor displays.

Light:

Prefers very bright light and several hours of direct sunlight. Full sun encourages compact growth and, most importantly, much more abundant flowering.

Water:
Water when the top few inches of soil have dried. Once established, Lantana can tolerate some dryness but appreciates regular watering during hot weather and active flowering. Avoid keeping the soil constantly waterlogged.

Normal humidity is perfectly suitable. It appreciates good air circulation and generally does not require high humidity.

Good to know:

Lantana is especially valued for its long blooming season and its ability to attract butterflies and other pollinators when grown outdoors. Removing spent flowers can keep the plant looking tidy and encourage continued blooming.
