Pleomele Song of India is an elegant tropical plant known for its bright, beautifully variegated foliage. Its long, narrow leaves feature deep-green centres surrounded by creamy yellow to lime-green margins, creating an attractive contrast.

As it matures, the plant develops branching woody stems and can take on the appearance of a dense, sculptural tropical tree.

Light:

Prefers bright, indirect light. Good light helps maintain its beautiful yellow and green variegation. It can tolerate medium light, although the foliage may become greener. Avoid intense direct sunlight.

Water:
Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Avoid keeping the growing medium constantly wet.

Appreciates moderate humidity but generally adapts well to normal household conditions.

Song of India is a variegated form of Dracaena reflexa. It is easily distinguished from the solid-green Pleomele Reflexa by its bright creamy-yellow to lime margins. It is relatively slow-growing, and occasional pruning can encourage fuller, more branched growth.
