The Crassula ovata, commonly known as the Jade Plant, is a popular succulent known for its thick, fleshy, glossy leaves and naturally branching growth habit. Over time, its stems become woody, giving it the appearance of a miniature tree. Hardy, elegant, and easy to care for, it can develop into a beautiful specimen that can be enjoyed for many years.

Light:

Thrives in very bright light and enjoys several hours of direct or gentle sunlight each day. Excellent lighting encourages strong, compact growth.

Water:
Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. Then water thoroughly and allow all excess water to drain. Reduce watering significantly during the winter months.

Prefers low humidity and adapts very well to normal household or office conditions. 

Good to know:

The Jade Plant is known for its exceptional longevity and can live for several decades with proper care. A mature plant receiving plenty of light may also produce delicate clusters of small white or lightly pink flowers.
