The Crassula ovata ‘Gollum’, also known as Horntree, is a distinctive variety of the Jade Plant known for its thick, fleshy, tubular leaves. Their slightly flared tips resemble tiny suction cups or trumpets and can develop attractive reddish tones when exposed to plenty of light. As the plant matures, it develops a woody trunk and a beautiful miniature tree-like appearance.

Light:

Thrives in very bright light and enjoys several hours of direct or gentle sunlight each day. Excellent lighting encourages strong, compact growth.

Water:
Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. Then water thoroughly and allow all excess water to drain. Reduce watering significantly during the winter months.

Prefers low humidity and adapts very well to normal household or office conditions. 

Good to know:

Gollum Jade becomes especially impressive with age. Its stems gradually thicken and become woody, naturally giving the plant a beautiful bonsai-like appearance. With plenty of light, the tips of its leaves can also develop attractive reddish tones.
