The Monkey Tail Cactus is a spectacular cactus known for its long trailing stems covered in fine white hairs, giving the plant its distinctive soft, silvery appearance. As it matures, its stems can grow quite long and create a beautiful cascading display. Its unusual appearance makes it an excellent choice for hanging baskets or elevated planters. 

Light:

Thrives in very bright light and can enjoy several hours of direct sunlight each day. Excellent lighting encourages strong growth and can help promote flowering. 

Water:
Water thoroughly once the soil has completely dried, then allow excess water to drain. Reduce watering significantly during the winter months. Like most cacti, avoid keeping the roots in constantly wet soil. 

Prefers low humidity and good air circulation. It adapts very well to normal household conditions.

Good to know:

In addition to its beautiful cascading growth, the Monkey Tail Cactus can produce striking bright red to orange-red flowers along its stems when provided with plenty of light.
